"Television: chewing gum for the eyes" ~ Frank Lloyd Wright

Dear Blog,

So, I'm going to pretend that it hasn't been over one month since my last post (even though I just acknowledged it) and move right ahead. No looking back, no catching up (except for Valentine's Day), no feeling bad that I've slacked off with the blogging. Not that I have been feeling bad.

Well, we got a new television. I almost thought I would never see the day this would happen but thanks to our tax return we were able to replace the old, heavy box that I got rid of nearly a year ago. Even though we are watching a little bit of TV now, we got it primarily to watch movies. We started getting really sick of watching movies on the tiny laptop screen.

There might be one problem. Juni is really liking the tube. She's like me where she can sit for long extended periods of a time because she gets sucked in to anything that's on.

It's so cute though. Sitting in her little arm chair all comfy and cozy eating a snack. I think it's a nice treat (for both of us) and I don't feel shame for this eat-in-front-of-TV situation. Would you? You know what, don't answer that.

Point is we love it. I get to watch Oprah again!!!

Sincerely,
Emily Wilcock

  1. You've just made me feel better about my tv watching/eating/Oprah-ing!!
Because I could see you going without all of those things. But here in fact, you're normal like so many of the rest of us! (This is all meant as complimentary).

Oh and yes, Juni is as cute as can be in front of that tube :)

Btw, I totally owe you your book & birthing materials back!!

  4. I never thought I'd say something like this, but Juni sitting there watching TV is so adorable!! I bet I'd love to just sit and watch her watch TV. Why is that so cute? :) So I'm proud to say that Alice has already watched her first TV show - 'Cheaters'. hahahaha! Seriously. (It's not like I watch that show though - just changing channels and she was smitten as soon as she heard that black woman yelling. She couldn't look away from that train wreck)
