The Mystery of the Cranky Baby

Dear Blog,
The past 2 weeks, Juniper has been a bit rough. I was happy with her waking up just once a night but it has turned to 3 times a night!!! And I can't just rock her back to sleep. No, she wants to eat and get a diaper change at each waking. She's reverted back to being a newborn. shucks! Also, she's always preferred us to be standing and rocking while being held but could stand it if we were sitting. Now it's as though there a button that ticks her off as soon as our bums hit the couch.

A couple days ago, we were in the car and Juni was screaming. She was dry, fed, and just woke up from a nap. What the...! I dropped her pacifier on the ground before we left so I couldn't appease her with that. So, I just stuck in my finger. It worked as it should but she didn't want to suck, she wanted to chew.

Juniper excitedly chewing on her lower lip

These pictures actually capture that her eyes are blue!

Ooooh! She's teething......already?!? She'll attack anything that gets close enough to her mouth.

Monique, the lovely lady I lived with while in Paris, sent Juniper a cute little dress

But before we could unwrap it June pulled it in close to chew.
She had a death grip on that thing. We found it very amusing and adorable!

Yes, she's teething. And she's been quite the little pest. But all in all, knowing what the problem is makes it much easier to be patient when she's been crying all day.

She resembles me in this photo. Love her expression.

Sincerely,
Emily Wilcock

  4. ah man she is too cute! Teething can be rough. Willow is six months old and is reverting to what seems like newborn behavior too, but she just cut two teeth. Hang in there!
